Banked's Model Context Protocol (MCP) server enables AI agents and assistants to interact directly with the Banked API, allowing you to build intelligent payment workflows powered by conversational AI.
What is Model Context Protocol?
The Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard that allows AI models to interact with external tools and services. Banked's MCP server exposes a set of payment tools that AI agents can use to:
- Create payments - Initiate Pay by Bank payment sessions and receive checkout URLs
- Search payments - Query payments by ID, reference, external reference, or date range
- Process refunds - Issue refunds using mandate tokens
Why Use Agentic Commerce?
Streamlined Operations
Let AI assistants handle routine payment tasks like creating sessions, checking statuses, and processing refunds - all through natural conversation.
Instant Integration
Our MCP server provides an instant, accessible bridge between your AI and our payments API. Simply connect your agent to our hosted endpoint to give it native, tool-based access to payments and refunds - no boilerplate or local dependencies required.
Intelligent Automation
Create autonomous agents that can manage payments, respond to customer requests, and handle refunds based on your business logic.

Quick Connect
Connect to Banked's MCP server using this endpoint:

MCP connections require dedicated MCP credentials. These are separate from your standard API credentials and must be requested specifically for MCP access. Contact support@banked.com to enable MCP features on your account.
Security Considerations
When using MCP with AI agents:
- Enable confirmation prompts - We recommend configuring your AI client to require human confirmation before executing payment or refund operations
- Use scoped credentials - MCP credentials are limited to MCP flows only and cannot be used with standard API endpoints
- Exercise caution with multiple servers - Be mindful of prompt injection risks when using Banked MCP alongside other MCP servers
More Tools Coming
